Account & Data Deletion Policy

Last Updated: May 15, 2026

Because Scoop Docs does not use remote servers or cloud accounts, our data deletion process differs from traditional web services. This policy explains how you maintain total control over your document lifecycle.

No Account Creation Required

Scoop Docs does not require you to register an email address, phone number, or username. Therefore, there is no remote "account" to delete on our servers.

How to Permanently Delete Your Documents

Since all your documents reside securely encrypted on your local device, you can permanently delete them at any time:

1. In-App Deletion

  • Delete individual documents or folders directly from within the app.
  • Navigate to Settings → Storage → Clear All Data to wipe the entire document vault.

2. Application Uninstallation

Uninstalling Scoop Docs from your device will cause the operating system to delete the app's local storage directory, permanently destroying the encrypted database and all stored documents.

Note: If you uninstall the app without creating a backup, your documents are irretrievably lost.

Data Recovery After Deletion

Once documents are deleted via any of the methods above, they are cryptographically and physically unrecoverable. We do not possess backup copies of your documents.
